Sublime with Rome
Sublime is an iconic band from Long Beach, CA. Now fronted by singer/guitarist Rome Ramirez, Sublime has countless fans worldwide. You can’t deny their catchy music that fuses Reggae, Ska, Punk, Hip-Hop, and Rock. Though there is no replacement for the late lead singer/songwriter Bradley Nowell, Rome Ramirez has been paying homage to his legacy gracefully since 2009. Watch their most recent music video for “Light On.”
Huntington Beach’s Dirty Heads valiantly follow in the footsteps of fellow Southern Californians Sublime by mixing Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Rock with a laid-back SoCal attitude. Forming in 2003, founding members Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B,) and Jared Watson (Dirty J,) sought to create music that focused on positive vibes and infectious grooves. Now a global touring act, it’s safe to say that their grooves have remained nothing but infectious. For fans of crazy riddim, a performance from Dirty Heads is not one you want to miss. Check out their latest music video for “Rage” featuring Travis Barker and Aimee Interrupter.
The exhilarating reggae band HIRIE joined the bill for October 9th last-second. Lead singer Hirie was born in the Phillippines, spent years in Italy before her parents ultimately settled in Hawaii. This is the place that made her fall in love with Reggae music. Joined by her band, HIRIE’s music is incredibly uplifting and positive, spreading its own special kind of love sonically to your ears. Watch her last music video for “I’m With You Again.”
With the addition of popular local groups Rey Fresco and the Free Love Project, October 9th at Surfer’s Point Live is going to be a phenomenal day of entertainment. Be sure to stop by Tree Factory’s booth to throw some cornhole bean bags and spin our wheel and win some prizes! As always, you can order ahead from Tree Factory online for delivery, in-store, or curbside pick up. We hope to see you this Saturday for Sublime with Rome featuring Dirty Heads, HIRIE, and more!
